People commemorating the victims of political terror, carried out under the regime of Soviet dictator Iosif Stalin, in Lubyanka Square in central Moscow, Russia. In Moscow alone, around 30,000 people were murdered at the height of the terror in 1937 and 1938. Each year on the 29th of October, the victims are remembered near a monument opposite the headquarters of the Soviet and Russian secret services.
